We are a group of concerned citizens moved by the harrowing tale of Michael Reeves, an individual who suffered due to the unlawful surveillance and seizure of his cell phone in New York. His story is but one shocking illustration of the widespread issue of corruption in our city, of crimes that are too often concealed from the public's view.

These alarming stories are consistently documented in videos that not enough people are seeing. These videos expose the unjust corruption that seeps into our institutions, threatening the very fabric of our society. According to the Corruption Perceptions Index 2020 by Transparency International, the United States ranks 25th among 180 countries, indicating a significant corruption problem at the local, state, and federal level (Transparency International, 2020).

Our city officials are public servants, and as such, they are answerable to us, the people they serve. But how can we hold them accountable if we aren't aware of the corruption occurring under our noses?
With each passing day, unsuspecting citizens like Michael Reeves become victims of corruption and injustice. We, the ordinary citizens of New York, demand that these revealing videos be made easily accessible to the public eye, allowing for more transparency and accountability from our officials.
